1980 Nelson 34

Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada

US$80,000

Built to the highest marine standards by Hinks of Appledore and designed by Roland Paxton of Cowes, the Nelson 34 combines the graceful comforts of a well appointed interior, twin diesel power and a rugged ocean going performer with international safety standard build quality.

This fast cruiser (top speed 18 kts ) has been professionally maintained throughout its lifetime and was built for Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise Launch.   Refits in 2005, 2015 and 2019 will provide its next owners with peace of mind and reliable performance for many years to come.

The current owner purchased “Puffin” in 2018 from legendary Rockstar Pete Townsend of “The Who” fame.    He used it as his personal shuttle for coastal and inlet cruising and was drawn to it because of its Global reputation as a safe, reliable and seaworthy platform.

Puffin can easily be viewed at Bedford Basin Yacht Club and is ready for the 2024 season.
